Womens Resource Center Adopt-an-Apartment

Cornerstone apartment complex is run by the Women's Resource Center for women and children escaping domestic violence. Twice a year BJWC "adopts" an apartment and gets it ready for a family to move into,  since they are unable to bring much at all with them.

"Cornerstone is my favorite project we do with BJWC because helping women and children is at the core of our mission. It's an amazingly humbling experience to be able to help a family feel a sense of home in such an unstable and uncertain time in their lives.”

Miach’s Backpack

“One of BJWC core projects is volunteering with Miach’s Backpack to help fill bags of food to send home with local school children. ”

To Our House

BJWC partnered with To Our House and provided a warm chili dinner and lunch supplies for locate homeless.

The Montgomery County Christmas Store Diaper Drive

“BJWC coordinates an annual diaper drive with local daycares and preschools to aid families who are served by the Montgomery County Christmas Store. This year was a great success. A total of 15,000+ diapers and pull-ups were collected and donated to MCCS, that’s a lot of dry little bottoms this year! This project would not have been as successful without the wonderful daycares, preschools and organizations that helped us. We appreciate the community giving so generously.”

Last Minute Angels

“One of the BJWC’s core projects is Last Minute Angels. Members go to Walmart and take all the angels left on the Salvation Army tree; this is usually done one of the very last days. We also include coats with the requested items. The Ladies shopped for 20 angels this year
